Colour Inspiration for August & September - Earth and Fire

It makes no sense, but the winter months usually have me hankering after a camping holiday. Maybe it's the roaring fire? I love camping but I'm not brave enough to venture out and sleep rough with these current night-time temps!

Instead I've stayed indoors and filled a Pinterest board with 'vanlife' camping inspiration.

These elemental colours of earth and fire have inspired the colour inspiration for the Limited Edition Kit of August and September.
It's such a fun one!!

Create some 'Fundies' for yourself or a loved one with these fun boxer brief kits!

These kits feature comfy, cotton lycra prints by the Art Gallery brand. Plus colourful plush waistband elastic and some funny, punny garment labels!

NB: The photo above shows both kits - however, the purchase price is for one kit only

There are two different kit colours to choose from:

  • 'Ride' the two cotton knit prints are vehicles and bunting flags with light teal and mustard yellow elastic.

  • 'Wild' the two cotton knit prints are abstract zebras and waves with indigo blue and light teal elastic.

Each kit contains a total of 1m of fabric (.5m each of the two prints) plus 3m of elastic (1.5m each of the two colours.) Enough to make two pairs of boxer briefs in any size.

Bonus ~ four garment labels!  There are two hem labels that you can wrap over the edge of the leg cuff and two flat labels that are the perfect size to cover over the waistband elastic join.

You could mix the fabrics as I have done in this illustration or keep them as seperate block prints.

My pattern picks would be the Pin Up Girls Men’s Underwear pattern, the Indigo Boxer Briefs by @SewProjects, the Tuesday Boyshorts by @EmeraldErinSews or the Tanja Boyshort by @primrosedawndesigns

Which combo are you inspired to make? Or perhaps it's both!!!

You can get your hands on one of these kits now in the Kit Section of the Nellie Joans shop.

I can't wait to see what you create with this super fun kit!

Don't forget to tag us @nellijoans or #nelliejoans when you make up your kit, so we can see and share the gorgeous project you've made to inspire our online audience.
