Colour Inspiration July ~ 'Crafty'

Helen Cloke colour inspiration crafty limited edition kit

It's usually in the depths of winter that I rekindle my love for crafts other than sewing.  The long, dark evenings when the wind and rain is battering against the windows make me want to snuggle up on the couch, get cosy under a blanket and knit, crochet or hand stitch.  As much as I love sewing there is just too much action involved for it to be an inviting hobby at this time of the day in the winter season.

I've recently been learning how to embroider under the expert tutors and all round friendly ladies from the local embroidery guild.  I'm absolutely bursting with colour inspiration from looking at the racks of colour coded thread and the designs in embroidery books and this has spilled over into my lingerie making.

Here are some products that highlight these colours.

L to R: Picot elastic - burgundy, Cotton lycra - silver, Cotton lycra - butter, Bra Tulle - rose, Picot elastic - lilac

This colour group inspires me to create some lingerie with lots of pretty detailing - who knows, I may get good enough at embroidery and be able to embroider some bras!

Each month I create a limited edition kit that is based on the month's colour inspiration colours; so stay tuned for the next blog post where I'll reveal this months kit.
