Colour Inspiration ~ March 'Macro'

Helen Cloke colour inspiration macro

Isn't it spectacular when you actually look close up at something and you discover that what looks like one colour is in fact made up of a myriad of different colours?!

We glance at things and label them so simply, 'brown mushroom', 'pink flower' when in macro they are anything but simple.  It fascinates me.  My brother and his girlfriend recently got extreme close up photos of their iris's (their eyes, not the flower!) and it's amazing all the colours that are in a 'blue' or 'brown' eye.  I'm totally going to get mine done!

Steel blue, Merlot, Apricot, Charcoal, Red berry.

Here are some ideas for creating lingerie in this colour theme.

1.

Create a softy romantic Jordy bralette and Tuesday briefs with apricot stretch mesh and a charcoal grey lace overlay.

2.

Simple and sporty with an Orange Lingerie Mystic bra, use these foam cups, plunge wires covered with the steel blue cotton lycra.  A matching pair of Rosy lady shorts would look great too with a wide elastic waistband in charcoal.

3.

Dani bra by L'Agent by Agent Provocateur

Ohhh so pretty, apricot and berry demi bra.  This stretch lace is a perfect combination of the two colours and matches the pink powernet and seashell pink elastics perfectly.

4.

Boudoir beautiful in burgundy duoplex and elastics with the charcoal grey lace accents.  Add straps to the Orange Lingerie Esplanade pattern for this look.

5.

PINK Victorias Secret

What a cool and unusual take on sporty femme.  I wonder if the Madalynne x Simplicity 8711 pattern could be modified to make this?..or let me know if you know of any other monowire patterns!  I'd use the merlot coloured cotton lycra combined with the charcoal band elastic or even the charcoal and white stripe cotton lycra.

Do you stop and take the time to look at things up close and macro?
