Colour Inspiration ~ November 'Natural Neutrals'

November's colour inspiration is all about tone on tone on tone.  White, ivory, cream, ecru, taupe, latte, mocha - however you name the colours, they look great in combination and are soothing on the eye.

Neutral coloured lingerie can look anything from classic and simple, to sporty to smoking hot sexy.  Here are some inspirational underwear with suggestions on how to re-create the styles.

1.

La Perla Contrast Bra

Adapt a pattern like the Lansdowne bra by Orange lingerie by making the lower cup from white duoplex and the upper cup from beige duoplex - finishing the neckline with fold over elastic in whiteBeige straps and rose gold rings and sliders add to the contrast.

2.

Fleur du Mal 'Lolita'

The dark ribbon detailing elevates these simple mesh panties to something special.  Use beige stretch mesh as the main fabric with peach picot elastic at waist and leg lines.  Then chocolate velvet ribbon to create the 'cage' style with a bow to finish it all off.  How about using the free undies pattern by So Zo for this?

3.

An all beige bra is so versatile and flattering on most skin tones.  The pretty lace creates a delicate looking bra, highlighted by the darker bow.  For a bra like this you'll need beige powernet, blush stretch lace, beige band and strap elastic, a beige hook and eye, chocolate bow and I'd recommend rose gold for the rings and sliders.  The Merckwaerdigh push-up bra would be the perfect pattern for this.

4.

 Journelle Fine Lingerie Lascivious Lucy

White lace over a beige background is just so pretty.  Use either beige duoplex or cut and sew foam as the under layer with the white stretch lace on top.  White strap elastic and white powernet support this combination.  If you have some soft beige satin then try making an oversize bow, otherwise pop a simple little, understated embellishment in the centre.  You could lengthen the band on the Boylston bra by Orange Lingerie to make it longline.

5.

A sweet, simple, easy to wear, off-white bralette.  The Darcey soft bra by Evie la Luve is a great everyday bra.  Sew one from this off-white viscose spandex with ivory straps, silver rings and sliders and use the stretch lace trim to decorate the edges.

What is your go to neutral?
