Colour Inspiration November ~ Street Art

Helen Cloke colour inspiration limited edition kit street art

How about that Street Art huh?

I find it fascinating to wander around cities and marvel at how talented these street artists are - can you imagine painting this with a spray can? If you've ever travelled to Melbourne, Australia, I'm sure you would have wandered around it's streets full of such art.

So this month's colour theme was inspired by all of these vibrant colours so you can jazz up that lingerie drawer!

This month's Limited Edition kit is a ‘Boxer Briefs Trio’ in a viscose knit.
Colours are Steel, Aubergine and Charcoal Marle.

This kit comes in gorgeous complimentary colours perfect for making a few pairs of boxer briefs.  Our 38mm wide band elastic is included - 100% knitted cotton and super soft.

A great pattern for boxers is the Comox Trunks pattern by Thread Theory - pictured below.

You could mix and match the fabrics and create boxer briefs with some real personality!

Alternatively, you could use this kit to make some 'boyshort' style underwear or hipster briefs with a wide waistband.  His and hers!  Why not?!

Just think how productive you'll feel making up this trio of boxers for your partner (and/or briefs for yourself) 😉

The kit will be out very soon and I'll be sure to let you know on Instagram when you can hit that buy now button. Kits can be found here in the shop.

Also in the shop we have this vibrant kit that matches that street art vibe to a tee.

Bralette and Briefs Kit

Iris are my favourite flower so I couldn't resist this print!  This gorgeous fabric is a certified organic cotton (GOTS) made in Europe for Zingara Fabrics, NZ.  Featuring both bearded and Japanese iris in predominately purples and orange on a black background, it made for perfect pairing with our orange and blackberry elastics. You can find it here.

This kit contains enough fabric and elastic to make a bralette and hipster briefs set. It would look great made up in to a Watson bra and briefs (pattern by Cloth Habit) or any patterns that call for a stretch fabric.

We look forward to seeing what you'll make up this month with these. Don't forget to tag us @nelliejoans so we can see what you've been up to.
