Colour Inspiration October ~ 'Moulin Rouge'
Share
Earlier this year I visited Montmartre, France, a place I have been fascinated with ever since third form French class. It completely lived up to my expectations!
We went on one of the free walking tours of this area of Paris (I'd highly recommend this as a way to see an area through the eyes of a local) and learnt a lot of interesting facts about the area. One, if I understood correctly, was the that government supply scholarships to artists to live in Montmartre, in large windowed apartments which inspire creativity. Somewhere in a parallel universe, I am living that life.
We traveled to Montmartre on the Metro and upon exiting at the Blanche Station our eyes were immediately greeted with the famous view of the Moulin Rouge.
Claret, scarlet, tangerine, copper and electric blue
Here are some products that highlight these colours:
L to R: Cotton lycra ~ Merlot, Hook and eye ~ Red, Stretch lace ~ Neon Coral, Velvet ribbon ~ Copper, Mirror satin ~ Light Blue
Sadly, we only had a single day to spend in Paris and didn't get to experience the area at night-time or take in a show. One day I'll dedicate a whole trip to this area as there is still so much I'd like to see.
Each month I create a limited edition kit that is based on the month's colour inspiration colours; so stay tuned for the next blog post where I'll reveal this months kit.
