And because I've had a few questions along the lines of - do you know of a good board shorts pattern . . . I thought I'd save you some time searching, leaving you more time for sewing!

This pattern from Ellie and Mac features boardshorts with cargo pocket options, shorts mid-thigh, low-thigh, and knee-length styles with slashed pockets.
2. Jalie 2678 Board Shorts
Jalie's sewing pattern for board shorts for men and boys features:
- Tie-waist and velcro fly
- Contrast side panels
- Pocket key sewn to the facing at waist
and includes 27 sizes! A versatile one for the whole family.
3. Long Beach Mens Board Shorts

5. Women's Boardshorts

They have a back yoke to help mold the fabric to your body’s contours and are a relaxed fit pattern with a low rise. Features a velcro fly, 4 inseam lengths and a comprehensive fitting guide. This looks to be a great one if you have a more curvy figure.
6. Women's Copenhagen Harbor Boardshorts
These boardshorts from Stich Upon A Time can be made with any medium to heavy weight woven fabric. They are a pull-on design with flat front and elastic back waistband. Designed to fit slim in the front but looser in the back, these are the ultimate comfort shorts!
7. Free Womens Board Shorts Sewing Pattern
Life Sew Savory has made this board shorts sewing pattern based on her free PJ/Lounge pants pattern which she links to in her post which I've linked here. She also has a video tutorial which may be helpful to some of you.
