Shipping FAQs - 2026 update

If you're anything like me, you like to know what shipping will cost before you go to the trouble of filling your cart and imagining all the wonderful things you'll create, only to discover the shipping cost doesn't quite fit your budget or ends up costing more than you'd hoped.

Unfortunately, we're all feeling the effects of rising shipping costs around the world, and it's become an expected part of shopping online. Moving products from A to B simply costs more than it used to.

Here at Nellie Joans, we've put a great deal of time, research, and effort into securing the best possible national and international shipping rates while also keeping delivery as fast and reliable as we can. It's no small task when you're a little shop in a very big retail pond, but we believe it's worth it to make shopping with us as affordable and enjoyable as possible.

Our current shipping prices (in NZ Dollar) are:

New Zealand (Domestic) ~ shipped via Courier Post on their overnight tracked service, for rural delivery add 2-3 days.

• Urban flat fee $8
• Rural flat fee $14
• Free tracked shipping on all orders over $80

Australia ~ shipped via Toll courier express tracked. 2-4 days metro delivery, 4-9 days regional delivery

• Small Parcel (up to 500gms) $22
• Medium Parcel (500gms - 1kg) $25
• Larger Parcel (1kg - 2kg) $28
• Free tracked shipping on all orders over $200

United States ~ Local courier partnered with USPS, estimated delivery time 6-10 days, tracked

• Up to 1kg $25
• 1kg - 2kg $35

Rest of World ~ NZ Post partnered with local postal service, estimated delivery up to 3 weeks

• Up to 1kg $35 (non-tracked) $45 (tracked)
• 1kg - 2kg $45 (non-tracked) $55 (tracked)

Notes:

If the actual shipping price is less than charged for by over $3NZD then we will refund the difference. (The $3 limit is due to costs incurred in the refund process.)

If the actual shipping price is greater than charged for we don’t request any additional payment (we’re just nice like that and appreciate that unexpected costs after payment are not nice!)

The majority of orders will fit into the weight allowances outlined above but if you have trouble checking out due to a larger order then please contact us and we will organise a custom shipping price for you.
