Introducing February's Limited Edition Kit ~ 'The Lucy'

The 'Animalistic' colour inspiration for February has five colours that mix so nicely together that I went on the hunt for fabric that represented them all.

This medium weight scuba with it's dainty floral pattern is perfect for lingerie making.  The dark black background makes the white through to orange floral just pop and the khaki and beige tones anchor it.

I decided to do a mix of colours for the elastics and findings.  Originally I had planned to do all orange elastics but this took away from the orange accent in the fabric - it all became too much.  Instead, it looks really pretty with the beige, ivory and black to tone it all down with just the little hint of orange in the picot elastic.

This kit is made up for soft bras.  I'd recommend patterns like the Romy by Ohhh Lulu or the Darcey bra by Evie la Luve.

I plan on making a pair of briefs to begin with and think I'll use one of the variations from the Frankie pattern by Evie la Luve.  I may need to just add a bit of lace to the kit.
