It's been a satisfying 20 days celebrating the small things and at the end of it those small things have added up to a new handmade bikini that I adore.

Day 20 and I've completed a series of small steps to produce a finished bikini bra top!!!! Waaaa-hooooo! Just in time for the predicted heatwave to hit New Zealand (thanks Australia.)
Swimwear Sewalong ~ Bikini Bottoms - Part Two

Now that my machines are set up for overlocking and triple zig-zag stitching it is the perfect time to return to the bikini bottoms and finish those off! The side seams have all been completed and it's time for elastic.

Day 13 and I feel like I’m over the mountain and on the home stretch. Exciting!
I’ve used my overlocker and also a zig zag stitch to apply the swimwear elastic.

This is a quick little step but an exciting one! The underwire going in is what really gives the bra it's proper shape.
