Potentially influenced by my love of horticulture and the colour green, Augusts colour inspiration is 'Wild about Nature'
There is something so lazily romantic about these colours. Like you should be in a secluded cabin on the edge of a lake with nothing to do but listen to nature and swan around in gorgeous underwear.
This month I launched an online business. It's all brand new. Never having been involved with e-commerce before I've had a lot of learning to do and luckily I've had some skilled people holding my hand and guiding me along the way.
These feelings of excitement, uncertainty and intimidation, reminded me of how I felt years ago when I wanted to start making bras but had no clue how to go about it. So for those of you who may be looking at photos of all the pretty, handmade bras out there and feeling the same way I felt as a newbie bra maker then here is my advice for you (now if only I could go back in time and tell it to myself!)
My version: The Watson looks great kept simple and basic but I made a few style alterations to my set to take it next level.
It's easy to make a matching set with the Watson. Both a bra and bikini brief are included in this pattern and both require approx. a 75% stretch, knit fabric. This pattern is a great place to start as a beginner!
From the crisp, dark denim blue to the soft, dove grey and with the brights in between, I'm in love with my colour choices!
When deciding how I would like Nellie Joans to look, my keywords were 'Arty', 'Bright', 'Precise' and 'Graphic.' and my colour choices flowed on from these.
So, how does this translate into lingerie making inspiration?
